All umpires need to complete:

• A background check
• The Little League Abuse Awareness training. The training can be found at Training - Little League.
• Concussion course which can be found at HEADS UP to Sports Officials: Online Concussion Training | HEADS UP | CDC.
• Email their certificate to [email protected]

 Once all of these pieces are complete, you will be eligible to sign up for games. 

Upcoming training opportunities:

• March 15, 2025 from 8am-5pm at Fowler Middle School in Tigard. Free. This is the annual Oregon District 4 free umpire clinic. If you have less than 5 years experience we strongly ask that you please make it a priority to attend this training as it will be very beneficial.
• March 22, 2025 (time and location TBD). Free. This will be a shorter base mechanics training.
• March 22 and March 23 in Wilsonville. Not Free, fee associated with this training. This is Western Region outreach training. This costs to attend but is very beneficial if you are interested in going deeper into umpiring. Please let the UIC ([email protected]) know if you are planning to attend and have not attended before. Signups for this training are on the Little League Umpire Registry.
