Fall Baseball Program Information
Fall Baseball: General Overview
The purpose of fall ball is to learn new skills. The season has games each weekend, running Friday Sept. 9th, thru Sunday, October 30th. The number of games played each weekend will be determined by how many teams sign up. The location of games will be determined by which fields are available to us.
Cost
Cost is to be determined at July Board Meeting, but generally Fall Ball is around $75.00. Jerseys will be provided, but will be handed back in at end of fall ball season.

Registration Dates And Team Determination
Registration will Open by Wednesday, August 3rd, and will Close September 1st.
Fall Ball-Coordinator will create teams in following manner:
1. By age
2. By objective assessment of team skill level. i.e. "A" Team, or "B" Team.
Age determination is based on player's age between May 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012. (i.e. How old will your player be on April 30,2012? ) Fall Ball is more relaxed than the regular season--within our league we may "borrow" players from one team if they are needed on another team. Main focus is to distribute players so that talent is evenly balanced across teams. District 4 does not want any powerhouse teams. Fall Ball is a teaching/learning experience- we do not "track" wins and losses and there are no trophies awarded, so winning is not the objective. The objective is:
1. To Learn
2. To prepare for the upcoming regular season, and
3. To have fun!
Plate umpires will be available, field umpires are not required.
Fall Ball Orientation Meeting is Tuesday Sept 6th at 7pm at Alpenrose Dairy Opera House. This is a required meeting for all League Fall Ball Coordinators and all Managers. Coaches are welcome to attend.
